Sponsorship agreement
This agreement is between the [Fair name] (the Fair) and [Sponsor business name] (the Sponsor), represented by [Sponsor contact person].
- Level and amount. The Sponsor chooses the [Sponsorship level] level and will pay [Sponsorship amount] by [Payment due date].
- What the Fair provides. The Fair will provide the recognition listed for that level in the packet above for the fair held [Fair dates]. The Fair decides where signs and banners go on the grounds.
- Artwork. The Sponsor will send logo and banner files by the artwork deadline. The Sponsor confirms it has the right to use the names and images it sends.
- Use of the Fair's name. The Sponsor may say it sponsors the Fair. It may not suggest the Fair endorses its products, and it will not use the Fair's name or logo in other ways without written permission.
- No exclusivity unless stated. The Fair may accept other sponsors, including businesses in the same field, unless both sides sign a written exclusivity note.
- On-site activity. Any booth, display or giveaway by the Sponsor at the Fair needs a separate vendor agreement and follows fair rules.
- Insurance and responsibility. If the Sponsor puts people, vehicles or equipment on the grounds, it will carry insurance the Fair names in writing and will be responsible for its own people and property. Rules on this topic differ by state. Check your state's law before you use this template.
- Cancellation. If the Fair is cancelled or cut short for reasons outside its control, the parties will talk in good faith about a credit toward next year or a partial refund. The Fair will not owe more than the amount paid.
- Whole agreement. This is the full agreement. Changes must be in writing and signed by both sides.
